The RED is a great camera at a great price. There is a lot of confusion, myth and bad information out there, but we at The Post Factory have been using these cameras for three years now and with our help we believe this is the truth: If you can’t make a good film with this camera, the problem is probably not the camera.

Technical Backup
How much is your shoot actually costing you? Studio, talent, crew? How much time can you afford to lose if the worst happens and a camera goes down on you? We guarantee to always keep a spare camera on hot standby in central London for all hires made directly from us. This also means we always have a camera on hand for training, demos and testing in our facility. We keep spares for all typical parts that wear. We also offer 24 hour telephone support for all productions once our cameras are on set. This peace of mind is worth a lot to our clients.
Training and support
We offer free training, advice and familiarisation for clients with confirmed hires from us. We have trained some of the most respected DPs and operators in the UK and have converted more than a few sceptics to Red. If you are new to Red and just curious, we also run workshops for a nominal fee, refundable against your first hire.

The Post Factory signed up for the Red Camera project over 3 years ago and our cameras were some of the first in the UK. We’ve worked with them in all sorts of situations and can steer you clear of potential pitfalls.
Warts-and-All Advice
Red is ground-breakingly good, but with any new technology come new issues to be aware of. As part of our training we are very honest about potential problems that can occur when shooting with Red, how to avoid them, what to know before even deciding if Red is right for a job. We think it’s better to find out the issues before you go on set. We would rather have happy clients than simply push a rental on a company.
Post Production Workflow
It can be confusing at first, the myriad of options available for handling Red in Post but we can handle the entire post production workflow in our facility from camera to small or big screen. And because we know how to do it, we can help you do it yourself if you wish. (Editors don’t panic: you can still edit on Avid if you wish!)
